Hosting questions, answered.
Some quick guidance before you contact us.
What is the difference between a domain and hosting?
A domain is the address people use to find your website. Hosting is the server service that stores the website files and databases. Most websites need both.
Can I use WordPress?
WordPress can run on a compatible hosting environment. We will confirm the PHP, database and HTTPS support available on the package before you order.
Can I move my existing website to MLE Hosting?
Usually, a website migration involves copying site files and databases, checking configuration, testing the new copy and then updating DNS. Email migration may be a separate task. Tell us which platform and provider you currently use so we can assess the work.
Is business email included?
Email is intended to be an optional extra. The available mailbox count, storage and pricing will be confirmed separately for your selected service.
Are backups included?
Backup frequency, retention and restoration options depend on the service. Please ask us to confirm the exact backup policy for your package, and maintain your own independent copy of important data.
How long do DNS changes take?
DNS changes may take time to propagate and be recognised by different networks. The timing varies with record type, previous TTL settings and resolver caches. Avoid cancelling the old hosting or email service until the move is confirmed complete.
What information should I include in a support request?
Include your domain name, a description of the issue, when it started, any error message and the steps you have already tried. Never send passwords or payment card details in a support request.
